Xbox Games with Gold for October 2016: Watch Dogs, Forza Motosport 5, Iron Man 2 Available for Free Next Month?
Midway through September, it is not hard to speculate what Microsoft would be doing at this time regarding a refresh in their Games with Gold line-up in preparation for October. But rumors are quite loud that the October update will feature a mix of both Triple-A and indie titles, Neurogadget reported.
Although nothing is certain at this point as Microsoft is still mum about the update, a 35-second video circulating online showed the games that could be included in the Games with Gold list for October 2016. Specifically, it showed games like Assassin's Creed: Black Flag, Iron Man 2, Forza Motorsport 5, and Watch Dogs.
The Bitbag, on the other hand, claimed that both Skate 3 and Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 may even be included on the list. If the list of games mentioned here are legitimate or not, it is something that we are still yet to see when October comes several days from now.
Just this month, Xbox Live Gold subscribers were given both Assassin's Creed Chronicle: China for Xbox One owners and Mirror's Edge for the Xbox 360 owner counterparts to enjoy as freebies, replacing on WWE 2K16 and Forza Horizon, respectively. There was an added twist that gamers did not see coming, when an Xbox 360 Arcade game Splosion Man was added to the list.
However, these additions are not meant to stay free for long. Assassin's Creed Chronicle: China is only available for download until the middle of October whose availability only started last Sept. 15. Mirror's Edge, on the other hand, is only good until the end of the month. It also remains to be seen how long Splosion Man will be on the list of available games for Xbox One and Xbox 360 owners.
