Miami Heat Rumors: Chris Bosh Trade to Dallas Mavericks Happening?
Questions surrounding Miami Heat big man Chris Bosh's immediate playing career continue to linger, which is trade speculation as of late. Will the Heat eventually part ways with Bosh?
The 31-year-old power forward missed the latter part of the 2015-2016 NBA regular season due to the recurring blood clots in his leg. Medical experts have not given him the clearance to suit up and play. However, reports have claimed that Miami Heat officials have deemed it OK for him to be on blood thinners for the upcoming season.
For his part, Bosh said he is ready to get back into action and pick up from he left off after his season came to an abrupt end. He is also confident that he will be able to get the green light both from the doctors and team officials.
"I'm in incredible shape; at least decent enough. I look good when I take my shirt off," Bosh said in the recent episode of the Open Run podcast (via the Associated Press). "But in all due seriousness, and especially with Micky Arison saying 'hey, see you at camp,' I think it's moving forward. I have no reason to believe that it's not. And, you know, we'll finish this."
However, there remains a possibility of things not going his way, and the Heat opting not to clear him. This has then opened up the idea of other teams granting him the said courtesy and let him play. One of the said teams are the Dallas Mavericks.
As pointed out in a report by Isaac Harris of Fansided's The Smoking Cuban, one of the possibilities for this deal to happen is that it would be a homecoming for Bosh, who was born and raised in Dallas. Harris also pointed out that he would be garnering a high demand once cleared, given his skills as a multi-time NBA All-Star with championship experience.
But of course, it would depend on the roster circumstances within the team, as well as other factors such as budget. "If Dallas could pull off a multiple team Bosh trade by unloading Deron Williams, Dwight Powell, Devin Harris, and a draft pick, Dallas could change up the Western Conference," an excerpt from Harris' report reads.
