Blair Underwood, who is famous for playing an ambitious lawyer in the 1980s series L.A. Law and a ruthless billionaire in ABC's Dirty Sexy Money is set to play a mysterious CIA agent in Quantico season 2.

Underwood has joined the cast of the hit show from ABC and he recently spoke with Entertainment Weekly to shed some light on his new character. He is set to play 'Owen Hall' a lead instructor in 'The Farm,' a real-life training facility where the CIA trains their recruits into becoming spies for the nation.

According to the actor, his character has more skeletons in his closet than the average CIA secret agent, which will be fun to watch when Owen Hall's backstory slowly gets unveiled as season two commences. Underwood is not new to playing mysterious agents, as he recently been part of Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. playing a half-human, half-something else who works with the clandestine agency. But his involvement in 'Quantico' affords him a much more realistic take on the cloak and dagger genre.

Underwood says that Owen's character isn't cut and dried. There's that mystery as to why he turned his back on being a CIA operative despite the fact that he was pretty good at his former job. Also, his motive for training recruits for the CIA isn't as clear as it should seem.

The actor said that he might have an ulterior motive for training CIA recruits. But as to whether they may be for the greater good of all or just for him fans of the show would have to wait and find out for themselves.

What's exciting about Owen Hall's involvement in season two is his attention on Alex Parrish (Priyanka Chopra). According to Carter Matt, Owen will give Alex a hard time adjusting to The Farm, but there may be a reason for that since the lead instructor might see Alex's potential to do a lot of good in the agency.

Fans need not to wait long for the new episods of the popular series. Quantico season 2 will air on ABC on Sept. 25.
