NBA 2K17 Gameplay and Update: Kristaps Porzingis Vows To Improve 2K Ratings [POLL]
Kristaps Porzingis is expected to follow up his rookie year with a bang, proving to one and all that his rookie performance was no fluke. While the New York Knicks and their fans are eager to see all that, another point of motivation for the 7-foot-3 player is NBA 2K17.
As most known by now, NBA 2K17 is out though critics have taken a shot at the assigned ratings. Top rookie Ben Simmons got a high 79 rating, while the yet-to-play Joel Embiid surprisingly got a 77. Both have yet to play in the regular season, which puts into question how they were rated.
Porzingis got an 80, which is considered a borderline rank. Considering the mileage he showed last season, some feel that it could have been better. Giving due consideration to his talent and his size, that 80 ranking on NBA 2K17 could be fair though no one can fault the Latvian for that.
Porzingis out to prove he deserves more
NBA 2K17 may just be a game, but the fact is ratings do play a part in telling how they perform in actual games. Porzingis established a lot last season, including being the first rookie to register 1,000 points, 500 rebounds, and 100 blocks while connecting 75 3-point field goals.
That accomplishment alone makes him a freak player in the NBA so it seems only normal to see him being a dominant player when used in the right way. For now, however, Porzingis and the ones behind the consoles will have to live with the 80 ranking on NBA 2K17 and hope that game developer wise up and give the 21-year-old beanpole more numbers.
Porzingis aims to help them out by promising to do better in his sophomore year. With that in mind, one can just imagine how much more he can improve both in the real game and potentially on NBA 2K18.
