An alleged image of the HTC Bolt was leaked online, which led lots of smartphone critics to surmising that the developers are also doing away with a port for a headset like Apple's new iPhone 7.

GSM Arena posted the images on their site and they said that upon first look at the alleged image, there seems to be no ports for the headset. The posted images feature the front and rear sides of the phone and its casing seems to be metallic.

The report added that the design of the HTC Bolt resembles its predecessor the HTC 10. The difference is that this new and unconfirmed image suggests that HTC plans on using wireless technology for their headset.

Apple recently unveiled their iPhone 7, which is revolutionary seeing that they no longer sport a port for the headset. Apple intended their iPhone 7 to support wireless tech to connect a headset to the phone, which is probably what HTC is also planning to do.

But there are some Apple customers who aren't too keen on the tech giant's decision to do away with the port. They say that they still prefer having a port for their headset than rely solely on wireless tech.

So far, HTC hasn't confirmed if the leaked images are indeed the final design of their phone. Customers would have to wait until they officially launch the smartphone.

The image also shows when the supposed launch will be, which is on October 18. But seeing that this image is still pure speculation at this point, customers would just have to wait for more concrete information.

According to The Verge other supposed features of the HTC Bolt are a repositioned flash and a dual-SIM. The leaked image of the smartphone suggests that the flash for the phone's camera will be positioned at the top, not on the side.

Finally, The Verge says that this HTC Bolt might carry dual-SIM slots. The tech site also said that HTC might confirm these details on October 18. But until then, loyal customers will have to make do with rumored specs of the smartphone.
