iPad Mini 5 Release Date Set in March 2017? Apple Tablet To Feature 7.9-inch Display, 2GB RAM But No Headphone Jack
Since the iPads were absent in the recent Apple event, rumors suggest that the Apple tablet will have its own reveal in the coming months. According to multiple sources, Apple is currently developing a new generation of iPads that will have the same features as the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus.
According to TNHonline, Apple will release the iPad Mini 5 next year and it will have a 7.9-inch display. While the tablet is expected to be lighter and slimmer, it doesn't mean that it will not be tough, as sources indicated that the next iPad Mini will also be more durable.
Furthermore, the iPad Mini 5 might be ditching the headphone jack as well, TheBitBag reported. Just like the new iPhones, the next iPad might also use the Lightning port for its headphone needs. This might also be the case for all of Apple's future devices.
Apart from the lack of the headphone jack, the iPad Mini 5 could also have a minimum storage variant of 32GB. This means that the 16GB variant might no longer be available in the next series of Apple devices.
Furthermore, the iPad Mini 5 might also come with 3D Touch display that is currently found in the newer iPhones. For the device's RAM, the company would probably stick with 2GB. It is also worth mentioning that it isn't impossible for Apple to make the iPad Mini 5 waterproof just like the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus.
When is the iPad Mini 5 Release Date?
Apple is known for releasing non iPhone products before midyear, so it is also expected that the iPad Mini 5 will also be released before the second half of 2017. According to rumors, it could probably be announced March of next year, since the iPad Pro 9.7 and the iPhone SE were also announced at that month.
This still goes without saying that Apple is still keeping its silence when it comes to talks about new devices. Both the iPad and MacBook Pro are making a lot of noise, but the Cupertino-based company is still silent about the said devices. With that said, do take these iPad Mini 5 rumors lightly as these are still unverified.
