Battlefield 1 has been making the news these couple of weeks which is expected as the official game release date comes closer. One of the biggest news that has caught players' attention is the discovery of the addition of the Tiny Kolibri pistol into the game.

The Kolibri Car Pistol which is currently being dubbed by IGN as "one of the tiniest guns in history" measures 2.7mm and is palm sized. The pistol which is one of the featured tools in the upcoming Battlefield 1 game is a real gun was produced during the 1910s -1914s or the start of the World War I.

Kolibri was manufactured for the purpose of self-defence but came out in limited quantities only as it is not as strong as any other weapons at that time. The game's version of the said gun is also patterned not only in looks and name accordingly to the real gun.

It also is the same as its counterpart in real life in terms of damages which is apparently barely making any damages to your opponents. However, we don't know yet if there is something special about it in the game that needs unlocking or certain level reached before some fireworks comes out.

The appearance of Kolibri was first spotted by YouTube user jackfrags, one of those players who has signed up for the Play First trial or has subscribed to the EA/Origin Access of the game which is now live. He has since recorded footage of the gun in action and shared it to other users online. The tiny gun can be seen in the video below starting at 7:42.

PC Gamer adds that the Kolibri can only fire three foot pounds of energy or four joules which just shows how weak it is. Meanwhile, along with the attention grabbing Kolibri, Battlefield 1 has also added new video editing tools to its Spectator mode. The game will officially be launched this Oct. 21.

Additionally, the Play First Trial lets the subscriber try a sample of the game in both single player and multiplayer modes. Players who also opted to have the $80 USD Early Enlister edition can start playing the game, three days earlier than the official launch date. This means come Oct. 18 and they can already play it. The edition which comes with a DLC can be played on Xbox One, PC and PlayStation 4.
