While Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson will be the executive producer together with ProSiebenSat.1's Studio71 and Corridor Digital of an action series with unconfirmed title Lifeline, an half hour action series that is about an insurance company that sends its agents 33 days forward in time to prevent the deaths of its various clients.
The upcoming shows will be joining the adaptation series of Step Up with Channing Tatum as an executive producer along with his wife and co-star in the films, Jenna Dewan Tatum. They will be joined by original executive producers Adam Shankman, Jennifer Gibgot and Meredith Milton.
While having the big names and in their new shows might give their fan an idea that Youtube Red is trying to replicate the kinds of traditional programming currently produced by Netflix and Amazon, Daniels insists it was not the case. She explained that their shows are different from those streaming behemoths, especially in terms of their casting.
"Our goal is to be uniquely YouTube and our thesis is simple: Identify YouTube's most engaging stars and top genres, and invest in the content that fans tell us they want." she quoted as saying.
