'Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2' News And Updates: A New Character Will Emerge
"Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" is set to be launched on October 25 and for those who will pre-order their games, they'll be in for a surprise since Bandai Namco will feature a new villain that some might be familiar with.
According to Game Rant, Bandai Namco is giving out Goku Black to players who pre-ordered the "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" game. For those unfamiliar with the character, Goku Black is a villain who stars in the "Dragon Ball Super" anime series in Japan. He's also a dead ringer for Goku except that he's a villain, obviously.
Also, Goku Black's attack methods are similar to Goku. He also employs a Kamehameha move like Goku but the difference with the evil character is that his lightning strikes are colored dark blue with black energy while the good Goku has bright blue blasts.
Not all players are aware of Goku Black because the producers behind the Dragon Ball Super anime have yet to develop a series structured for English-speaking audiences. So far the show is just airing in Japan and there are no reports yet on when it will reach American shores.
As for "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2," players will only get to control Goku Black if they pre-ordered the game as it is a limited playable character. A trailer was released by True Achievements to accompany the announcement of Goku Black being a part of "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" and in it viewers can see the evil character defeat Super Saiyan God Vegeta.
Game Rant added that this evil Goku is capable of travelling through time, at least in the anime. According to them, "Dragon Ball Super" anime features Goku Black travelling through time with the help of a powerful ring and he brings along Goku's enemies to different timelines to wreak havoc.
It's not clear though if Goku Black can do the same thing in the game. "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" will be available on October 25 but players should pre-order the game to get Goku Black.
