Real Madrid vs Legia Warsaw: UEFA Champions League Where To Watch, TV Schedule, Live Stream, Preview
Real Madrid FC is looking to get to the top spot of Group F in the UEFA Champions League tournament, as they take on Legia Warsawon Tuesday at their home turf at the Santiago Bernabéu in Madrid.
Legia is currently 80/1 at the current odds against Real Madrid. And as reported by ESPNFC, their record has been the sole basis for the prediction. The Polish champion team had never reached a European final and have yet to win in Spain.
They are also coming off a disappointing 6-0 beating in the hands of Borussia Dortmund last September 15. Madrid, on the other hand, have won 27 of their last 31 matches in the Champions League alone and have already won the said tournament a total of 11 times.
Yet, despite the odds, Madrid head coach Zinedine Zidane is not taking their opponents lightly. As stated by the former French national player during a pre-match press conference, both teams are playing in the same competition, which means that they are also on the same playing level.
"The game is going to be 50-50 and we must start the match very well, make it difficult for them from the off," Zidane said. "We're in the same competition, which suggests there's no difference between us, even though many people say there's a big difference. If there's a difference you have to show it on the pitch."
Forward Cristiano Ronaldo will also be playing more years with the club, as he recently signed a new contract with Madrid. According to Sky Sports columnist Guillem Balague, no one from the club has specified the exact length of his contract, but it is believed that he would be playing for at least another two years donning a Real Madrid jersey.
"Is his future best off at Real? Certainly it provides him with the money he wants, but more importantly with the competitiveness to allow him to win more titles," an excerpt from Balague's column reads.
The Real Madrid vs Legia Warsaw UEFA Champions League match will kick off at 2:45 p.m. ET. Live stream and broadcast details are available on Live Soccer TV.
