NBC Okays The Voice Season 12 & 13; Gwen Stefani Comes Back!
Its official! Gwen Stefani is coming back for season 12 of The Voice. The reality show has been rearranging its panel of judges/coaches for some time so this doesn't come up as a bit of surprise. Stefani will be replacing Miley Cyrus but the show reps is assuring fans that Cyrus will be back next fall for season 13.
The news was happily confirmed by NBC Entertainment President, Alternative and Reality Group - Paul Telegdy. E! News reports that in a statement he said that the team can't wait to experience what unique energy and chemistry the new group of coaches will bring to the upcoming season of The Voice.
Furthermore Telegdy was quoted saying "With Miley returning for season 13, we're truly ecstatic about the unmatched musical know-how and talent coming together in our coming seasons." This statement confirms the fact that the competition has been renewed for a 12th and 13th season, which is sort of expected since the show has been steadily cruising through popularity.
Stefani will be rejoining veteran judges Adam Levine and Blake Shelton who has been with the show for 11 consecutive seasons. It could be noted that the singer was a part of the show during its seventh and ninth season.
Completing the coaches' panel will be the latest and current season judge Alicia Keys, making the show have two female coaches for two consecutive seasons reports Deadline Hollywood. The Emmy awarded best reality competition series will once again be hosted by Carson Daly.
Meanwhile, the twelfth season has been scheduled to air by February next year. So far no more details were released about season 13 aside from it happening with Cyrus as one of the coaches. The other members of the judging panel might be announced sometime in the future.
Currently, The Voice Season 11 airs on NBC every Mondays and Tuesdays at 8 pm.
