The second official trailer for Assassin's Creed has just come out this Tuesday, Oct. 18. It is already is making its rounds on the internet. Sneak peeks of the movie show that it will be action filled with lots of running and jumping around.

The latest trailer comes five months after the first official trailer was released. According to PC Gamer, it shows more insights into movie what with having some sci-fi and historical backdrops. From the trailer alone we see it divided between the present and the past. Basing on the trailer alone, we can assume that the story is set during the present time.

In between we see glimpses of the main character Callum Lynch during the Spanish Inquisition running and leaping from one rooftop to another, defending himself and killing people in the process. The movie seems to be a mash up of the past and the present events that have something to do with the identity of Lynch.

The New Regency and Ubisoft movie adaptation will break on cinemas worldwide by December 21. It was directed by Justin Kurzel with a screenplay by Adam Cooper, Bill Collage, Michael Lesslie, and Scott Frank reports Deadline.

The video game-based movie stars Michael Fassbender as Callum Lynch. The cast ensemble also includes Marion Cotillard, Michael K. Williams, Ariane Labed, Brendan Gleeson, Charlotte Rampling, Jeremy Irons, and Khalid Abdalla. It is distributed by the 20th Century Fox.

The Assassin's Creed is just one of the movies based on a popular video game franchise that has been made recently. From what we know so far, the story revolves around Lynch who through the use of technology had his genetic memories unlocked and on the process experience for himself the adventures that his ancestor had.

The ancestor in question is an assassin during the 15th century Spain named Aguilar de Nertha. Through that he finds out his connection to a mysterious secret organization. He then gains knowledge and skills that he could use to fight in the present time against the powerful Templar organization.
