The Twitter verse will not be fun and exciting if not for some random trolls and funny tweets. Usually, fans clash from different fandom but there are always exception when celebrities and even teams from different leagues are also battling it out.

In the National Hockey League, the Pittsburgh Penguins and Washington Capitals are considered the rival of the season. The teams are off to face each other for the second time this season for the "Wednesday Night Rivalry" on NBCSN.

To kick off the competition, the Pittsburgh Penguins posted a picture on Twitter of two banners in comparison to both teams.

According to NESN, the Penguins posted a picture of two banners comparing the Penguins and Capitals in which the Penguins shows Stanley Cup Championship while the Capitals have a Metropolitan Division Champions.

The Capitals where quick to reply with another image showing the caption "@penguins Must have missed the one right next to it."

The game between both teams are long awaited. According to Penguins captain Sidney Crosby "It's a good challenge. It gets guys up for games like this. You need to be able to play those tight games that are emotional."

Even Eric Fehr, a former Capital but now Pittsburgh Penguins center is looking forward to the match. He told the Post-Gazette, "It's nice when you're familiar with the other team. The prescouts are a little bit shorter. You can just focus on playing hockey and not so much the Xs and Os. It's fun for us to play these kinds of games, too, where the fans are really involved."

Penguins coach Mike Sullivan said "They're rivalries. They're teams that we have histories with. We play in a very good division. There's a lot of good teams. They're big challenges for us. I think they're fun games to play in."
