Can Aaron Rodgers Still Lift Green Bay Packers To The NFL Post-Season?
Can the Green Bay Packers led by QB Aaron Rodgers still make it to the Playoffs? Statistically, the answer is yes says game analysts, but the main concern is the Packers' defense.
Must-Win Situation for the Packers
The probability of making it through the next round it pretty much still there provided they win at least five of the six remaining games. Of course, that's if the Minnesota Vikings get throttled on their way to the Playoffs. As suggested by NFL analysts, the only way for Packs to barge to the next round is to get the NFC North title where they are currently two games behind Vikings.
However, they will be facing the equally dangerous Philadelphia Eagles which are also seeking to get into contention. Should the Eagles roll past into the winning columns and a miracle off their bracket, they could pretty much barge into the wild card hunt.
The 32-year old quarterback, who is rumored to have problems with close family relationship, is pretty much doing his job the entire season and has continued to play at a very high level. Rodgers currently has 25 touchdown passes and a 96.0 passing rate. The only remaining stumble block for the Green Bay Packers is its defense.
Packers Defense is the Key to Success
"I feel like we can run the table, I really do," Rodgers said as posted by ESPN. "The offense is starting to click a little bit more; we've just got to put together a game where we're more consistent from the first snap to the last. We've been, I think, getting closer to that. We've really been clicking, at times, in the last few games."
As game analysts believe, it's not the Packers' offense that has the problem; it's the defense. The Packers' defense allowed 38+ points during their last four losses, more than 40 during the last two games.
Yet, the Packs' leader is optimistic, and Rodgers is confident things will start falling into place. "Now we have to go out and do it. It's just idle words right now, but I'm confident in our guys and I'm confident we'll respond on Monday."
