Android Nougat Rolling Out To HTC 10 - Today?

For the past months, we have heard of different companies rolling out the latest Android 7 Nougat to their devices. Confirming the earlier reports by doing so, however, HTC 10 users have been left wondering about their devices. You see although it was speculated that the device will also receive the OS and even promised, there is no confirmation as to when it will happen.

That is until yesterday. Now though like thanksgiving, it is within grasp. Finally, after weeks of waiting, the tech company confirmed that the latest version of the Android OS will start rolling out to their devices today, Nov. 25. This news was announced by the tech company itself through a posting via its official Twitter account yesterday.

With this being done, the company has kept its promise that it will bring Nougat into its flagship phone before 2016 ends, according to Phone Arena. It is noted that the rolling out of the OS comes, just after HTC has shipped its Bolt phones with Android 7.0 on board. On the other hand, the post also made it clear that Android Nougat for HTC 10 has just passed TA or technical acceptance. This is the final major step before updates can be pushed to smartphone users.

To be clear, the rollout of the said OS will start today for unlocked HTC 10 devices in the US. However tech company explains that those who are carrier variants and those who are in other countries will be waiting a bit. 9To5Google reported that there is a possibility that Verizon will push the update to its HTC 10 variants within the first two months of the year with unlocked devices in other regions following the same time frame, or it could also happen sooner.

Aside from rolling out to the said flagship phones, the tech company has promised that Nougat will be also arriving for HTC One M9 and One A9 soon. One M9 will have it early next year while One A9 has no target date yet.
