Michael Schumacher's best moments as a Formula 1 racing champ were remembered after Nico Rosberg won the 2016 World Championship against Lewis Hamilton. Rosberg is the third German to ever win an F1 title. Schumi claimed the first title more than two decades ago while Sebastian Vettel claimed the second with his back-to-back titles from 2010 to 2013.

Back in 2000, Michael Schumacher set the record after not spending a single lap outside the top eight. Formula 1's official website noted that Rosberg's laps all season still fell short compared to Schumi's figures.

The new 2016 World Champion, who bagged the title at 385 points, spent 13 laps all season outside of the top 10. Schumacher also holds the record as the one with the most victories among all race winners from Germany.

Nico Rosberg was one of the F1 stars who played in Michael Schumacher tribute last July. The new champ is one of the millions who pray for Schumi's recovery. He even welcomed Schumacher on social media.

The latter's social media accounts were launched to share memories of his achievements. Schumi's accounts were launched Nov. 13, in celebration of his first world championship title in the Australian Grand Prix in 1994. Michael Schumacher's Instagram and Facebook pages are being managed by his publicity team.

Meanwhile, Michael Schumacher's health status is one that intrigues many fans. The Formula 1 legend is still recovering from the serious head injury he obtained after skiing in December 2013. Just recently, F1 former boss Ross Brawn confirmed Schumacher is showing encouraging signs. Almost three years since the skiing tragedy, fans are still curious about the real status of his health.

As Brawn stated, there are too many speculations about Schumi's condition. Regardless of too many criticisms against Michael Schumacher's family, they stick to their decision to keep things in private. Until now, his wife Corinna Betsch and the rest of his family has kept mum about his health status.
