‘No Man's Sky' Foundation Update Version 1.1 Release Date; Sean Murray Reveals Patch Notes
For a while now players have been waiting for an update of "No Man's Sky." The developers at Hello Games remained silent amidst the buzz and questions about the space-set adventure game. Just recently, they announced that the game's Foundation update is about ready for release. Finally, after months of waiting, the "No Man's Sky" update is here.
The arrival of the update was quite fast and unexpected. Usually after the announcement of an update, there would be some waiting time months or weeks to be exact. Guess they just like surprising their players. "No Man's Sky" update comes major in a lot of ways. The update is said to have so much stuff that the lead designer find it in himself to break his silence and tweet about it.

The Foundation update of version 1.1 as per Polygon comes with new rule sets, items and improvements as compiled. The game can now be played in three game modes which are Normal, Creative, and Survival. Normal mode is the original gameplay experience of the game. Creative mode gives the player an unlimited universe with big bases to play around.
Meanwhile, Survival mode lets the player play the game in a mode that the challenges and tests are increased to test the endurance of the player. PCGamer noted that to be able to survive more, players can now stack items up to five times and make use of the new Quick Access item menu. Did we mention that the new No Man's Sky update now allows Item-stacking?
Players can do that now once they updated their copy. Aside from the additional modes, there are now options to purchase big freighter ships for additional storage capacity and inventory slots. This ships can be summoned from anywhere to the position where the player is. Teleporting from your home base to space stations and vice versa can now be done too.
Players will also be happy to know that now they can establish their home bases in an uninhabited base that will serve as their shelter and storage facility. They can farm crops including new plant. Aliens can now be recruited to help research new technology.
Space stations now also rent out farming, engineer, weapons, and science specialists. The home bases can also be expanded using storage containers to stockpile resources and rare products. Once the player gets tired of his base and finds another much better place, they can now just dismantle their base and all the spent resources will then be refunded.
Several bug fixes and visual improvements were done. Aside from those mentioned there are a lot more riding with this update so for the full list check out the patch notes in the update. The Foundation update according to Hello Games is just the first of the many updates that will be arriving for the game.
"No Man's Sky" is an action-adventure video game that was developed and published by Hello Games for PlayStation 4 and Microsoft Windows. This first person survival game was released worldwide last August. It has a gameplay that revolves around exploration, survival, combat and trading.
