'Resident Evil 7: Biohazard' Cross Saving Feature Confirmed?
Good news players, another game has joined the cross-platform saving society. That game is no other than "Resident Evil 7: Biohazard." The report which was first reported on Japanese gaming site Dengeki is finally confirmed by the game's developer itself - Capcom. Who confirmed that yes its upcoming game will allow cross-platform saving.
What does this mean? It means that players who have a Windows Store version of the game will now be able to transfer save between that and the Xbox One version, according to PC Gamer. So far this manner is present in games like Gears of War 4, Forza Horizon 3, and Recore as part of Microsoft's Play Anywhere promo.
The promo reportedly is Microsoft's strategy to make buyers receive PC and Xbox One versions of games in a single purchase. Capcom has been specific that only the PC and the Xbox One versions will have the said cross saving feature. With the confirmation of Resident Evil 7 having the said feature, it suggests that it could be the first third party game to feature as part of Xbox's Play Anywhere promo, as per PCGamesN.
It could also mean that the Windows 10 version of the game will be available as cross-buy. Cross saving is a useless feature if you have to buy the two versions of the game just to use it. Additionally, it was also reported that HDR and 4K support will be available for PC users upon launch. On the other side, the game will also be available in a Steam version. And reportedly a demo will be out early December.
"Resident Evil 7: Biohazard" is an upcoming survival horror video game by Capcom. It is the eleventh installment in the Resident Evil series and the first to be played from a first person perspective. The game is set for release on Jan. 24, 2017, to Microsoft Windows, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4; with the latter version including full PlayStation VR support.
Players will be controlling the lead character Ethan and the game is set four years after the events of the Resident Evil 6 game. It will be in the fictional city of Dulvey, Louisiana of Southern United States. Ethan is a civilian who is on the search of his missing wife. His searches will lead him to a rundown plantation mansion that houses the strange Baker family.
According to earlier reports although the game has connections to the past installments, the game will be featuring an entirely new cast line-up. Additionally, it has been said that the title of the game is said to be a clue to what the game's plot is.
