WWE Royal Rumble 2017 Spoilers, Latest News & Updates: Brock Lesnar, Goldberg First Two Entries; Roman Reigns Out Of Battle Royal?
The hype for Royal Rumble 2017 has started with Goldberg officially entering himself in the battle royal at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas. Brock Lesnar is also expected to be in it, hinting of another showdown between the two.
Goldberg, Brock Lesnar entering first?
Another Goldberg vs. Lesnar showdown could be epic, seeing a continuation of their Survivor Series clash, Forbes reported. This time, though, it is not about pinning or forcing a submission but all about how one could tip the other over the ropes.
If it is short work (similar to the Survivor Series card), the buck may not stop there. Either Lesnar or Goldberg could stick around to see the third entrant and inadvertently help out in eliminating the other.
To cut it short, both would be eliminated early and mayhem could break loose. In the end, however, it sets the stage for yet another clash even if a third one doesn’t make sense. Goldberg is up 2-0 so this may essentially be the closest the creative team can think of to set another colossal matchup.
Book Roman Reigns in a title-match instead
Another biggie who could be inserted into the fray is Roman Reigns. Right now, most would prefer to see the “Big Dog” booked on a separate card. Everyone knows how things went sour last year when the WWE was pushing Roman Reigns to the top.
Things didn’t end well and the last thing the WWE would want to do is force Reigns to the fans once more. Instead, a title-showdown with Kevin Owens could be better instead with the Royal Rumble preserved.
John Cena winning it all?
John Cena is expected to return soon and what better way to see the Cenation leader ruling the Royal Rumble, Give Me Sport reported. It could be part of a grand plan to see him jockey for a title-reign, something that could inadvertently be held by the Undertaker.
The WWE could book an Undertaker vs. AJ Styles match where the “Dead Man” could pry the title away. If that is the case, it could set up a possible title-clash at Wrestlemania 33 where Cena would challenge the Undertaker and win it all.
Undertaker could be sent off to retirement the right way and John Cena tying Ric Flair’s record of 16 titles. Would this all make sense?
