Bioware: 'Mass Effect Andromeda' To Have Unique Multiplayer Mode; See the Return Of Some Aliens And The Blind Card Packs
For a time now, we have been hearing about the latest "Mass Effect Andromeda" game. Revealing bits and pieces of the upcoming game from time to time which seems to drive the interest higher. With no set exact release date but plenty of visuals, fans are getting eager to know more.
If they are set on driving their fans' interest higher, it would appear that they are succeeding. This week they are adding a bit more info to that slowly mounted information sheet.
Bioware Creative Director Mac Walters himself is the one who dropped the bombshell that not all of the alien species who was previously seen in the Mass Effect trilogy will appear on Andromeda. However, they might still be seen in future installments. There you have it, the fourth installment hasn't been out yet but already we know that there are plans for succeeding titles.
Walters also revealed that they have designed the IP in a way that they can all show up. Due to some reasons, not all will be shown in the first game as per TechSpot. He also cleared up the common notion that the upcoming "Mass Effect Andromeda" will be the last. It could be remembered that he confirmed before to fans that Andromeda is not the start of a new trilogy prompting these speculations.
Walters says that "Mass Effect Andromeda" is not the start of the trilogy. However, that does not mean there are no plans for future adventures. He tweets that it is not just three acts as there are many stories to tell. There you have it. If the first one regarding aliens not showing up for Andromeda but for other titles didn't give you the idea. The second one hopefully is clear enough for you.
Additionally, Bioware has also revealed that the game's multiplayer will not be entirely independent of its single player portion. The team behind the game apparently wanted the feature to be in between Dragon Age: Inquisition where the multiplayer is independent of the single player campaigns; and Mass Effect 3 where players are pushed too hard to be in multiplayer by tying it to their galactic readiness.
It will be between two extremes and the missions fund that the players obtained the multiplayer mode will have tendrils going out into the rest of the game. Sending teams to complete some sort of side missions or doing it by yourself is now a possibility, PC Gamer reported.
Meanwhile, "Mass Effect Andromeda" producer told GUI that the first thing that the players will notice will be is how dynamic it is. Everything about the game is now more fluid and in a fast phase. There are a lot of actions happening within.
To make things a lot more interesting, the blind card packs that have new weapons, character kits and other useful items depending on the situation are returning. The packs can be bought with in-game money which can be earned through playing or buying them using real money.
