Samsung Galaxy S8 vs iPhone 7 Plus: S8 With 6Gb RAM, 256Gb Memory Storage

Despite the year 2016 to be full of controversies for the Korean-based tech giant, as Samsung Galaxy S7 was stroked by controversies, the company is carefully calculating its every move with the advent of their next smartphone making a buzz amongst fans and critics.

In a report from GameNGuide, Samsung announced that Galaxy S8 will be available next year. It is expected that the new device will offer the latest features and specs; probably some that we have never seen on a smartphone before, in line with their closest rival, Apple.

However, iPhone 7 take the lead this year as one of the most powerful smartphones, so comparing the two, iPhone 7 Plus and Samsung Galaxy S8, is in order.

In terms of storage capacity, the Samsung Galaxy S8 will have 256 GB storage and 6 GB RAM, while Apple iPhone 7's storages are selectable to 32, 128 and 256 GB and a RAM of 3 GB.

The Galaxy S8 networks are GSM, HSPA, and LTE while iPhone 7 Plus networks are GSM, CDMA, HSPA, EVDO, and LTE .

The body dimension and weight of the Galaxy S8 is unknown, while iPhone 7 Plus has body dimension of 158.2 x 77.9 x 7.3 mm and body weight is 188g.

The display type of S8 is super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen, 16M colors, 5.1-inch size, and resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels. iPhone 7's display is LED-backlit IPS LCD, capacitive touchscreen, 16M colors, 5.5-inch size, and resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels.

The operating system of the Galaxy S8 is Android 7.0, with Qualcomm Snapdragon 830 chipset, Exynos 8895 Octa, though it is still unofficial, while the iPhone 7 Plus runs with iOS 10.0.1 (upgradable to iOS 10.1), with Apple A10 Fusion chipset, Quad-core 2.23 GHz, and a GPU of six-core graphics.

A front camera of 8MP, dual 12 MP rear camera, and a 2160p @ 60fps and 1080p @ 120fps video for Galaxy S8, while iPhone 7 Plus' front camera has 7MP, dual 12 MP rear camera, and a video of 2160p @ 30fps, 1080p@30/60/120fps, and 720p@240fps.

Rumored features of Galaxy s8 includes an iris scanner, fingerprint, accelerometer, gyro, proximity, compass, barometer, heart rate, wireless charging, fast battery charging, and S-voice with own digital assistant, Bixby comparing them to iPhone 7 Plus features which are fingerprint scanner, accelerometer, gyro, proximity, compass, barometer,  iCloud Service and digital assistant, Siri.

Both smartphones have an A+ grade in different aspects, so it's up to the consumer to discern which smartphone best suits them.

Samsung Galaxy S8 will be launched in February or March of 2017.
