Ubisoft VR Games To Support Cross-Platform Playing?
Ubisoft is probably one of the known developers that have released titles beloved by most players. And as it continues to stay and attract gamers into their game kingdom, technology advances. So of course, the next logical thing is to follow the progress and continue from there. Since VR is being seen as the future, the company has also elected to have their own VR titles and there taking it up a notch by making it cross platforms.
Last August, Ubisoft VR games have been proposed for a release before 2016. The games included are the "Eagle Flight," "Werewolves Within," and "Star Trek: Bridge Crew." The games appear to have been up to schedule except for "Star Trek" which has its released pushed for next year. Now there's news involving the games in question. That is its ability to have cross-platform support as per PC Gamer.

Aside from VR being so in right now, it seems that cross-platform plays are also something that will continue to grow popular. It's not surprising though since people have different gaming versions and still would like to be able to battle it out without any additional problems or arrangements. With this arrangement in mind, "Eagle Flight" is revealed to be already available on PlayStation VR and Oculus Rift.
HTC Vive version will also be out by Dec. 20. Meanwhile, "Werewolves Within" and "Star Trek: Bridge Crew" will support the cross-platform play as soon as it launches. That will be Dec. 6 for the former and March 14 for the latter. Ubisoft subsidiary Red Storm senior creative director David Votypka explains that making their games cross-platform has been their goal from the beginning.
Now they are happy to announce that their Ubisoft VR games will be able to do so, on PSVR Oculus Rift and HTC Vive. Votypka also went on and stated that the Ubisoft VR games feature a strong multiplayer experience, so letting friends play it together no matter what headset they have will enhance the nature of the game. It will also let them play the way they wanted according to Eurogamer.
"Eagle Flight" is a game that involves flying around Paris as a bird specifically as an eagle. The user can fly alone or in a multiplayer mode. "Werewolves Within," on the other hand, sees a team of five to eight players working together to find out who among them is the werewolf pretending to be part of the team. While the next year upcoming game "Star Trek: Bridge Crew" is a team game that involves working together to man the Starship fleet. It can also be played alone or in multiplayer mode.
