NBA Trade Rumors: Nerlens Noel To Chicago Bulls; Nikola Mirotic To Philadelphia 76ers?
Nerlens Noel has been a subject of NBA trade rumors these past few months but there are rumors this week that he has a high possibility to land in Chicago Bulls in exchange for Nikola Mirotic to Philadelphia 76ers.
This season, Nerlens Noel was not able to play his debut game for the Philadelphia 76ers after he underwent arthroscopic surgery on his knee before the start of the season. There were reports this week that Noel has been moved to Delaware 87ers from the 76ers roster as he continues his rehab.
If he ever he returns to action, he would have to share minutes with Jahlil Okafor in being a backup center as Joel Embiid looks to be the main guy in the middle for the 76ers.
Last Sept. 27, ESPN reported that Noel was frustrated with Philadelphia 76ers management because of team's glut of centers. He even said that it was silly having three centers on a team and things need to be situated on 76ers.
Last week, NBA reporter Steve Kyler tweeted that 76ers are not desiring to trade Okafor so that concludes that Noel will be the guy that they will move.
Was told recently, not much desire to trade Jahlil - Noel is the guy they'll move. Not on the same page at all. https://t.co/G3uRMqt3E6

Due to Kyler's report, there are NBA trade rumors occurring that Nerlens will be shipped to Chicago Bull in exchange for Nikola Mirotic to Philadelphia 76ers. According to the Headlines and Global News, Noel's intimidation and shot blocking ability will be an additional inside presence for the Bulls' interior defense. Noel will serve as a backup to starting forward Taj Gibson or center Robin Lopez.
Noel can also compliment Bulls' plays for Jimmy Butler, Dwayne Wade and Rajon Rondo. He will also be an assurance for the Bulls big men rotation if ever Taj Gibson will not re-sign next season.
On the other hand, Mirotic can play as a stretch 3 on the Sixers rotation even if he plays as power forward in Chicago Bulls. If ever Nikola will play for the 76ers, he will attract defenders because of his 3-point shooting (30.5% 3-point shooter) while Embiid or Okafor barrels their way in the low post plays.
Mirotic will further strengthen 76ers forward rotation of Dario Saric and Ersan Ilyasova. Mirotic is like an Ersan Ilyasova type of player as he has the ability to shoot outside and can dribble his way to the basket.
Both Noel and Mirotic will become a restricted free agent next offseason. Both teams will benefit the trade if ever this rumor will be a reality.
