Next month at Consumer Electronics Show‎ (CES) 2017, gamers are once the main focus of the event as numerous reports point to the unveiling of gaming notebooks powered by NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050. What are the specifications of these notebooks and who manufactured these powerful devices?

"GeForce GTX 1050-Powered" Gaming Notebooks

According to the latest report released by DigiTimes.com, gaming notebooks with NVIDIA'S GeForce GTX 1050 is likely to show up at CES 2017 this coming Jan. 5-8 2017. As industry sources revealed, NVIDIA is expected to announce its entry-level GeForce GTX 1050 GPU for notebooks.

"NVIDIA GTX 1060 GPU-equipped notebooks are currently enjoying strong demand from China and Southeast Asia and the release of the GTX 1050 is expected to further increase sales," the unnamed industry source said. The source added that this could "trigger a new wave of a price war in the gaming notebook market in 2017."

So who will be the players in this supposed price war of gaming notebooks which will be powered by NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050? Leading computer manufacturers like Asustek Computer, Gigabyte Technology, Micro-Star International (MSI) and Lenovo were named to attend the upcoming event to showcase their own versions of gaming notebooks.

The report also revealed that Intel's new processor H series Kaby Lake CPUs will be used to power these high-performing gaming notebooks. However, additional specifications like the motherboard version, RAM and storage capacity were not revealed. It is also widely believed that with this move of leading computer manufacturers, others may soon follow the lead.

How about the price? Based on the same report, leading computer manufacturers like Hewlett-Packard (HP) and Dell is seen to be adjusting business strategies for the gaming notebook and is expected to release their version which will cost between $899 up to $1,299. This would only mean that the gaming notebooks coming at CES 2017 will cost around the same range, though it is expected to be lower.

"NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti-Powered" Gaming Laptop Verified

According to Trusted Reviews, the source of this report is yet to be verified. What they have reported and proved early last month was a gaming laptop powered by NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti. This gaming laptop is reportedly going to be on sale early next year with the price suggested at around sub-£1,000 or about $1,200.
