The latest NBA trade rumors emerging have Tony Allen of the Memphis Grizzlies on the trading block. Rumors suggest that the Los Angeles Lakers could potentially trade Nick Young for the 13-year veteran.

NBA Latest Trade Rumors: Memphis Grizzlies Open To Trade Offers

According to The Commercial Appeal, the Memphis Grizzlies are listening to offers from teams asking about Allen's availability on the trade market. However, it is still unclear which teams are involved and interested in the defensive specialist.

Tony Allen is a three-time NBA All-Defensive First Team member and he is among the league leaders in steals  this season. Earlier this year, Kobe Bryant even called Allen one of the best defenders he has ever faced. Tony Allen is now a 13-year veteran, making $5,505,618 this season. He began his career with the Boston Celtics, before joining Memphis in 2010.

NBA Trade Rumors: Los Angeles Lakers Interested In Tony Allen

The Lakers know that Tony Allen would play a huge role in the playoffs against star players, particularly with teams having to worry about potentially defending Kevin Durant, Paul George, LeBron James, Kawhi Leonard, and James Harden, just to name a few.

NBA Insider reported that there have been a number of Lakers trade rumors circulating, and the Lakers player who is gaining the most value on the trade market, is shooting guard Nick Young. Young is coming off a poor season in 2015-16, but currently Young is rejuvenated this season, as he enjoys playing for new head coach Luke Walton. Young is scoring 14.3 points per game and has been exceptional from three-point range.

NBA rumors are suggesting that Tony Allen could be sent to the Lakers, with Nick Young joining the Grizzlies. The trade deal was also approved by the ESPN trade machine. Tony Allen would provide leadership and defensive toughness for the Lakers young backcourt. Memphis would also get a scorer in Nick Young, who can address their scoring woes. Should they make the swap?
