Kurt Angle WWE Return: Will Former Olympic Champ Wrestle Again?
Kurt Angle is going to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame on March 31 along with members of the 2017 Class including The Rock 'n' Roll Express and Theodore Long. Many fans are wondering if he will officially retire from wrestling during his speech or announce that he has a few more matches left in him.
According to Randall Ortman of Cageside Seats, WWE will use Angle as an on-screen talent after WrestleMania 33. However, there is still no word backstage if the company will allow him to wrestle as a part-timer since he is still in great shape for a guy his age.
One of the possible options for the Olympic Hero is an authority figure like the next general manager of Monday Night. Fans are still puzzled at this point, but the most important fact is that he is back in the WWE, the place where he belongs.
In a recent interview with Forbes, Angle was asked about who he wants to face if he will be allowed to wrestle again in the WWE. He answered two former TNA superstars currently thriving in the main roster. "I've had my best matches with A.J. and Joe, so it'd be nice to do it on a bigger platform in the WWE so we'll see what happens," Angle said.
A.J. Styles and Samoa Joe are two of the most well-known wrestlers TNA wrestling has produced in its history. They are also considered as two of the greatest wrestlers in the company's history, but their careers were not complete since they were not signed by the WWE.
But now, Styles just had one of the best rookie years in WWE history wherein he established himself as one of the best wrestlers in the world. As for Joe, he finally made it to the main roster after the Royal Rumble. He attacked and injured Seth Rollins while beating Roman Reigns in his very first match.
