Android Nougat will be coming to OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T. This is believed to be part of the company's incremental progress in upgrading their flagship devices. Meantime, Google will limit the rolling out of Assistant to some devices.

Android Nougat Update Will Rollout To OnePlus Devices

The Android Nougat 7.1.1 version was rolled out, along with the latest OxygenOS Open Beta Back, to the two OnePlus devices during the earlier part of the month. Now, the company is reported to release Android 7.1.1 with OxygenOS 4.1.0 to all OnePlus 3T and OnePlus 3 owners through an OTA update.

Android Nougat upgrade via OTA indicated in the change-log includes the updated Google security patch to March 1. It also upgraded Android 7.1.1, enhanced photo capture of moving objects with reduced blurring and more expanded screenshots.

The Android Nougat update list also shows enhanced WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity, enhanced video stability when recording and general bug fixes. The Android Nougat update is also expected to roll out to all users in batches, which means taking some time before it gets to other phones, XDA reported.

Google Assistant Will Not Come To Android Tablets

Tablet users with Android Nougat 7.0 OS will miss out on several new features as Google Assistant will remain on mobile. It should be noted that Google Assistant was among the many useful mobile phone tools that was released last year, Android's response to Siri, alongside the launch of Google Pixel XL and Pixel phones.

Android tablets will not have the said feature as reports suggest that Google is holding back, due to the fact that the Assistant is only rolling out to Android phones. According to Google, the Assistant will be available on Nougat phones and Android Marshmallow with Google Play Services, and this does not include the tablets.

It remains unclear, however, why the company is limiting the roll out of the Assistant, Express reported. Watch New features of Android 7 Nougat In One Plus 3/3T here:
