'Pokemon Go' Egg Hatching: How Frequent Does Gen 2 Pokemons Appear?
'Pokemon Go' Gen 2 update definitely added spice to the hunting application and made some of the Pokemon hunters and gamers worldwide return. With the latest update, "Pokemon Go" has added over 80 new Pokemon from the Johto region.
Aside from the new pocket monsters expected, there were also modifications introduced in terms of attacks, CP and even the frequency of how specific Pokemon hatch from their eggs. In late February, a certain Reddit user on The Silph Road subreddit forum established a chart not only to present how often trainers get eggs, whether it is 2km, 5km or 10km.
There were setups for tests for the egg hatching rates for Gen 2 Pokemon since its update. However, the Pokemon appears at different rates. Some of the most noteworthy ones in the Pokemon Go Gen 2 egg chart are the rarest Pokemon which hatched from 2km - Remoraid and Misdreavus with 1.74 percent and 0.87 percent hatching rate.
For the 5 km eggs, the rarest Pokemon Go Gen 2 appearing at 0.62 percent of the time are Wobbufet, Qwilfish, Sneasel, Yanma, Girafarig, Shuckle and Dunsparce. For the 10 km eggs, Skarmory and Miltank appear at 2.57 percent while Mareep and Sudowoodo appear 5.13 percent of the time in 10 km eggs.
In the said chart, the Gen 2 starters Chikorita, Totodile and Cyndaquil cannot be hatched in "Pokemon Go." Thirteen other Pokemons are not hatchable, aside from several Gen 1 Pokemon which were hatchable in previous versions of the game and now are unhatchable via eggs. Just looking at the chart, a "Pokemon Go" player can see which ones hatch frequently.
What do you think of this Pokémon Go egg chart? Did you succeed in hatching all these new Gen 2 Pokemons? Have you hatched some rare Pokemon already? If so, are they parallel with the observed hatching rates in the chart above?
