Square Enix's "Nier: Automata" is an action RPG that is set throughout a war between machines created by inhuman invaders and what's left of humanity. The game is filled with a lot of adventure that will definitely include difficult enemies that a player will soon encounter. In here, players can be guided on defeating the boss Goliath that can be seen in the Abandoned Factory.

According to TheTech52, the Goliath in "Nier: Automata" is fairly an easy boss to battle. The whole boss battle is split into two phases. The two phases are quite simple and can be done without getting any damage if a player's dodging skills is adequate.

The battle will begin with the Goliath shooting hundreds and thousands of orbs. Players must prepare to dodge these orbs, lock-on to the boss and keep their drone busy shooting. The Goliath is going to have a sandwich type of attack where it will try to clap the player between its huge buzz saws. Dodging before the attack connects is the key in order to avoid any damage. Try to land a few strikes while it has its saw-arms within range and before it draws back its saws.

The Goliath also has an attack that raises either one or both of its saw-arms and tries to smash the player. It's fairly easy to dodge and players should also be prepared as soon as they see the arms catch fire. Continue on dodging and attacking until they see the 9S come in.

After 9S' appearance, the Goliath will gain some new attacks. When the boss disappears, players must start running towards the camera to avoid any damage. The boss will use a smash attack which players can only dodge by jumping into the air. Proceed on attacking the boss and after which a cut-scene will start.

This will now be the second phase of the boss battle against Goliath which it will gain a load of new attacks. It will now frequently fire homing missiles which still can be easily dodged by simply running in different directions. It also has a vertical slash attack which is not too hard to avoid.

Another attack is when he blasts a beam onto the player but this attack can be also easily dodged. When the Goliath starts to open its mouth, that is the time that players prepare to dodge. There are also times that the boss releases a beam of energy over the whole area which players can only dodge by jumping, reported by SegmentNext.

The last attack it possesses is a horizontal sweep attack which can be dodged by jumping for a short period of time. A general and important reminder is to simply lock onto the boss and continuously shoot for constant and continuous damage.
