Apple iPhone 8: Curved Bezel-Less Screen, Flexible Display & Three-Dimensional Glass Back Casing
If one is to patch all the rumored specifications for the next iPhone which is scheduled to be unveiled during its 10th year anniversary, one can pretty much have a visual detail of what iPhone 8 would look like. And just recently, the outer specification, the physical look of iPhone 8 may have finally been completed.
Front & Back Looks of iPhone 8
As reported by WCCFTech.com, iPhone 8 will pretty much have the same specifications as that of Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+. These two high-end smartphones is reportedly going to feature a curved screen, with very thin to almost no bezel from all sides. So it seems having a curved, bezel-less smartphone will be the norm moving forward.
There is one more thing people should expect on iPhone 8 as reported recently by Korean website ET News. By the way, ET News confirmed reports about iPhone 8 having a curved edge which is said to be gentler and more rounded compared to existing metal case edges. But the more revealing story is the iPhone 8 having a back casing made of glass.
"Apple's next iPhone will have a rear case made of glass," an industry official said. "This glass case is a curved wall surrounded by four sides."
In addition, iPhone 8 is the first iPhone to adopt organic light emitting diode (OLED) displays. KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo believes the adoption of front 2.5D cover glass will leave iPhone 8 still having edges, though they will be curved thinly.
Curved, Flexible Display
The same report suggested that Apple may finally bring in a new design, a glass molding technology which they have been working for ten years now though development rapidly over years.
The said technology will not only show a curved display - it is also flexible display. Of course, this leaked information has yet to be confirmed in the coming months as Apple continuous to work on iPhone 8.
