'Super Mario Run' Is Adding Playable Characters For iOS Gadgets
"Super Mario Run" is going to be released to Android phones and other non-iOS gadgets on March 23 after being exclusive to iPhone and iPad owners for three months. The probable cause of delay was that Nintendo was still fixing some bugs on their game while using iOS devices.
The wait is finally over because the players with Android phones or tablets can now join in the fun of "Super Mario Run." For those who have iPhones and iPads they too have something to look forward since the iOS version of the game will get an upgrade at the same time.
According to GameRant, "Super Mario Run" for iOS devices will get an upgrade on March 23. The 2.0 upgrade for iOS will feature new playable characters, but so far Nintendo hasn't said which characters will be featured in the upgrade.
Another gaming site says that the upgrade might feature four Yoshis of varying colors. Touch Arcade said that the Japanese Twitter account of Nintendo featured four Yoshis (an anthropomorphic dinosaur in Mario Bros.) that are colored yellow, red, violet and blue.
Yoshi, Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, Toadette and Toad are already existing characters in "Super Mario Run" and since all of them are good guys, some gaming experts are betting that the 2.0 iOS upgrade will feature bad guys. The possible candidates to be included in the upgrade are Wario, Walugi or the Koopalings although Nintendo hasn't confirmed yet if bad guys will be the additional characters in the upgrade.
What's already certain about March 23 is that the iOS upgrade will also unlock World 1-4. Players who complete Bowser's challenges in the free version will get the chance to unlock World 1-4. It is great for the players who are hanging back from purchasing the game, but wants to play its additional level.
