NBA: Los Angeles Lakers Veteran Metta World Peace Hates the Golden State Warriors
The Golden State Warriors may have lost their groove midway through the season, but now they are getting it back and Metta World Peace is not a fan of this. In a recent interview with Colin Cowherd, the Los Angeles Lakers veteran forward shared why other NBA teams and players hate the Warriors.
As reported by CSN Bay Area, speaking to Cowherd, World Peace admitted that he hates the Warriors because they are "too good," which means he is losing. Despite this, he had great words for the Dubs, who he said have players that are focused on the team, unlike others who are only thinking about themselves. He added that Golden State is years ahead of everyone else.
"They don't talk trash, they have fun. You see what I'm saying? Draymond (Green) talks trash, but at the end of the day, all they're doing is having fun, and you take it personal because they're having fun at your expense, and you really have no chance. The Warriors are years and years ahead of everyone else," World Peace responded when asked if the Warriors talk trash.
As mentioned, World Peace is unlikely alone when it comes to hating the Warriors because of how excellent they are performing this 2016-17 NBA season. Golden State is once again on top of the NBA standings with its 63-14 record. There was a time this year when the Dubs faltered and the San Antonio Spurs closed the gap. However, they immediately recovered and again had a comfortable lead even if Kevin Durant was sidelined due to an injury.
Golden State is the hottest team in the NBA right now with its 11-game winning streak. The Warriors can extend that when they host the Minnesota Timberwolves this Tuesday. After this, they only have four games left and it is expected that this Saturday against the New Orleans Pelicans, they are getting Kevin Durant back.
