WWE Rumors: Brock Lesnar to Face Finn Balor, Seth Rollins and More Superstars During Universal Title Reign
Brock Lesnar has been absent on WWE television since the day after WrestleMania 33. He is the reigning WWE Universal champion and he is expected to defend it against superstars such as Finn Balor, Seth Rollins, Braun Strowman and Roman Reigns.
Many WWE fans were upset due to the fact that Lesnar is not defending his championship. The company has made no mention of it and they recently made the Intercontinental title the top prize on Monday Night Raw during Lesnar's absence.
According to several reports, "The Beast" will only defend his WWE Universal title once before SummerSlam in August. It was recently announced by WWE Dallas that Lesnar is going to make his PPV appearance since WrestleMania 33 at Great Balls of Fire on July 9.
It is expected that Lesnar is going to be challenged by Strowman, who is being booked very strong since WrestleMania 33. "The Monster Among Men" defeated Reigns in multiple occasions and he defeated "The Big Dog" at Payback last Sunday.
Strowman and Reigns are scheduled to face each other at Extreme Rules in a rumored Ambulance Match. The former Wyatt Family member is expected to come out as the winner then challenge Lesnar for the Universal championship.
The WWE has done a great job booking Strowman as a monster, but many fans are going to be upset when he gets fed to Lesnar. Rumors suggested that "The Beast" will hold the Universal championship until WrestleMania 34 when Reigns beat him for it.
According to Cageside Seats, Lesnar will be making more television appearances moving forward. He is going to be active before SummerSlam and he is set to feud with several superstars later this year. Some of the superstars mentioned include Balor and Rollins.
Lesnar vs. Balor is going to be fresh and intriguing while Rollins vs. Lesnar will have a different dynamic now that "The Architect" is a babyface. Nevertheless, these are just rumors at the moment and plans could change.
