2017 iOS Jailbreak Update: The Status Of The Apple iOS 10.3.3 Jailbreak
Ever since Apple released iOS 10, fans have been longing for the constant updates to the latest firmware. While many welcome these updates, bringing new features, bug fixes, and security updates, other users are mourning what seems to be the loss of the ability to jailbreak.
Apple Releases iOS 10.3.3 Public Beta For iPhone And iPad
According to 9ToMac, Apple has released the first iOS 10.3.3 public beta for users to test without paid developer accounts. The update likely includes bug fixes and performance improvements as well as new wallpapers discovered only on the 12.9-inch iPad Pro.
Apple's public beta program is free to participate in, unlike its paid developer program. iOS 10.3.3 will be released to everyone likely next month. Hence, the public beta allows more users to test pre-release versions of the software update before it's finalized.
The Status Of The Apple iOS 10.3.3 Jailbreak
According to Download Pangu, Yalu Jailbreak was released for iOS 10 but, apart from being a semi-untethered jailbreak, it would only work on the 64-bit devices. A subsequent update for iOS 10.2 took away support for the iPhone 7.
Furthermore, it cuts down the number of people that could use it and Todesco has told the world that Yalu Jailbreak will not be updated any further for iOS 10.3.3 Jailbreak. The reason was he is "Retiring" for public iOS security work.
That leaves the fans with teams like Pangu to come up with a new jailbreak. However, Pangu has been quiet since iOS 10 was released although they did have a small part to play in Yalu.
Meanwhile, fans already know from the past experience that just because a jailbreak developer doesn't announce every move they make doesn't mean they are not working on a jailbreak. On the whole, they prefer to keep quiet until they are ready to release, not giving Apple any idea that they have the exploits needed to jailbreak.
