Furthermore, "Wild West Online" is said to be down to an "overwhelming response to the game's reveal. This included thousands of emails and over 200,000 site visits, according to PC Gamer.
It has also prompted the developers are to launch the game with some of the features previously tied to somewhat questionable stretch goals. These goals might be the inclusion of playable female characters.
What's more, 612 Games said that it plans to launch new content and gameplay features for "Wild West Online". Hence, it will be part of "several" expansions coming to the game after launch.
"The community's response to Wild West Online is something we never imagined, and thanks to it, we're able to fully develop a robust Western experience for PC," 612 Games chief creative officer Stephan Bugaj said in a statement.
"Wild West Online" Game Details Revealed
The player can become an outlaw, deputy or anyone. In the "Wild West Online" players are free to choose their own path.
How they play the game and how they interact with other players is up to them. Based on their actions they will either become a lawman or an outlaw.
If a player becomes too "lawless" a bounty will be placed on their head and it will be open season. Players can also pick a different path such as farming the land, becoming a miner or exploring the world.
The "Wild West Online" features an Intense PvP Combat. Players are much safer in towns since attacking other players is punishable there, but in the wild, there are no laws.
When a player dies, they only lose "quest items" as mined gold, recovered artifacts, and other items required for some quests. All other items remain with the player.
