Niantic recently deployed its latest event for the popular mobile gaming app "Pokemon Go." With the appearance of more Rock-type creatures during the "Adventure Week" event, gamers should also look out for other Pokemon characters aside from the rare Aerodactyl.

"Pokemon Go" players were recently given the chance to increase their collection of Rock-type Pokemon creatures given Niantic's latest event. Dubbed the "Adventure Week," avid fans of the mobile game can now find more of the said Pokemon type in the wild.

Despite Niantic highlighting Aerodactyl as one of the must-catch characters during the event given its rarity, gaming tips posted on Mic identified two other Pokemon creatures that "Pokemon Go" players should watch out for. These characters include Corsola and Magcargo that are both dual type Pokemon creatures.

Corsola boasts of a maximum CP level of 1214 and given its part Rock and part Water Pokemon typing, the said creature can learn powerful moves from both categories such as the Bubble, Bubblebeam, Rock Blast and Power Gem. Moreover, Rock types are usually weak to water but the said "Pokemon Go" character is more at home in the water than on land.

For Magcargo, apart from its Rock moves, the said Pokemon can learn fiery attacks such as the Heat Wave, Stone Edge and Overheat. The snail-like "Pokemon Go" creature, an evolved form of Slugma, has a maximum CP level of 1543.

Meanwhile, "Pokemon Go" players can look forward to seeing increased appearances of Rock-type creatures such as Larvitar, Pupitar, Tyranitar, Geodude, Graveler, Golem, Rhyhorn, Rhydon and Onix. Niantic's "Adventure Week" event will also see higher spawn rates for the characters Omanyte, Omastar, Kabuto, Kabutops, Aerodactyl, Sudowoodo and Shuckle, according to Pokemon Go Hub.

The "Adventure Week" event will also reward gamers with a special in-game Adventure hat for trainers, a quadruple candy boost for Buddy Pokemon and increased Pokestop drops. Gamers can also enjoy a 50 percent discount on Pokeballs during the said time-limited "Pokemon Go" activity.

The "Pokemon Go" event will run from 1:00 p.m. PDT on May 18 until 1:00 p.m. PDT on May 25.
