Game developer Bungie recently unveiled interesting details about the highly-anticipated game "Destiny 2." In a move that surprised avid gaming fans, the company announced that it will deploy a PC version of the said game that will only be available to Blizzard's online app.

The gameplay reveal for "Destiny 2" hosted by Bungie captivated gaming aficionados given the many details unveiled about the upcoming title. Held on May 18, Thursday, apart from showing off the game's interesting new locations, characters and gameplay elements, developers also shared their plans to launch a PC version including beta access for fans.

However, unlike other PC gaming titles available for download on online stores, the PC version of "Destiny 2" will only be released exclusively to Blizzard's Battle.net. Bungie's PC deployment plan will mark a first for an Activision franchise given that both firms belong to the same company, according to Eurogamer.

Meanwhile, "Destiny 2" game director Luke Smith shared in an interview with PC Gamer that they have yet to pin down a confirmed release date for the game's PC version. He even gushed over Bungie and Blizzard's partnership and conveyed the development teams' commitment to delivering a great PC game.

The "Destiny 2" gaming executive also declined to provide a target timeline on when development work for the game's PC version will be finished. He explained, "We want to make sure that this version of the game has the time it needs to bake in the oven so it's a delicious piece of bread when it comes out."

Apart from the upcoming PC release of "Destiny 2," avid fans of the said game can also look forward to enjoying the game prior its release date. Bungie is planning to provide players beta access for all consoles if they pre-order the game although details will be announced at a later date.

"Destiny 2" is slated to hit gaming markets on Sept. 8 for PS4 and Xbox One, while the release date for the PC version will be revealed soon.
