Jailbreak iOS 10.3.1 Latest News, Update: Apple Users Hoping for JB Tool This June
Two months ago, a member of Pangu was seen with a jailbroken iPhone 7 running iOS 10.3.1. Back then, rumors and speculations suggested that hacker team Pangu will come up with a jailbreak tool in the coming days or at most, a week. Two months later, no jailbreak tool was released. So what happened with the said jailbreak tool for iOS 10.3.1?
Will Pangu Come Up With a Jailbreak Tool?
In this 10-second video uploaded on YouTube in what was believed to be an event held in China, one member of hacker team Pangu is seen demonstrating what was supposed to be a jailbroken iPhone 7. While it was not shown at a close-up angle, it is clearly seen atop the video a note suggesting that this demo is in fact using an iPhone 7 running an iOS 10.3.1 that was successfully jailbroken.
It was not noted though whether it was a fully tethered or semi-tethered jailbreak just like their last release, the jailbreak tool for iOS 9.2 to iOS 9.3.3. Speaking of Pangu's last jailbreak tool, according to the hacker's website change log, the last jailbreak tool was released almost a year ago, July 28, 2016. Is this one of the reasons why the jailbreak community believes Pangu could be releasing another jailbreak tool?
Conflicting Reports on Apple Jailbreaking's Future
According to some rumors, the Chinese hacker team is seriously taking into consideration creating a jailbreak tool for iOS 10.3.1. The reported suggested that Pangu is expected to come up with the jailbreak tool sometime in June. While there are other reports like this in the past, the jailbreak community is just entertaining such reports with an open mind so as not to be disappointed with incorrect rumors.
Lately, there were rumors that Pangu Lab, the hacker team's newly and legally-established company, took Apple as part of their growing list of clients. As posted by 1RedDrop, Apple is possibly one of Pangu Lab's newest clients. According to its multiple sources, Pangu was paid a sum of money to the tune of $1.25 million NOT to release the jailbreak tool for iOS 10.3.1. But again, these are just rumors until otherwise proven or even, announced by Pangu.
