While fans draw their attention on the new "The Sims 4" Parenthood Game Pack and "The Sims 4" Fitness Stuff Pack, the Sims team may still now working on "The Sims 5." Here are the details, possible features and release date of the new "The Sims."

"The Sims 5" Release Date & Development

Officials of "The Sims" team previously emphasized that "The Sims 5" release will largely depend on the market sales of "The Sims 4." They added that the new "The Sims" will not be released if "The Sims 4" will not have satisfactory revenue.

As of the moment, "The Sims 4" recent quarterly financial report revealed successful results. It shows that EA had $1.81 earnings per share for the quarter with $1527.00 million revenue. This went beyond the expectation of Wall Street and other analysts. "The Sims 4" monthly active users also increased up to 33% in the fourth quarter and this figure continues to increase, Forbes reports.

EA also released "The Sims 4" Parenthood Game Pack and "The Sims 4" Fitness Stuff Pack. Furthermore, it keeps attracting more attention, and it seems like its active users and sales are increasing. Hence, with the usual four- to a five-year pattern of release of "The Sims" entries, "The Sims 5" may now be in the works. According to Blasting News, there is a possibility that EA will announce its production sometime in 2018 and its official release date on 2019.

"The Sims 5" Possible Features & Improvements

"The Sims 4" introduced different phases in age development and some changes in the generations. It also offered changes to mood and the way Sims react to their emotions. Hence, "The Sims 5" is expected to feature more options for hair types, differences in the aging process and different traits.

"The Sims 5" may offer several improvements. It includes improved graphics such as better map layout, visuals, and bright animation graphics. With this, the new "The Sims" will increase the lifelike quality to the characters. For the setting, "The Sims 5" location may be based on "The Sims 4: City Living" DLC concrete jungle Myshuno. The new Sims will also feature more characters, objects, and items. There will also be vehicles such as bicycles and cars, which players can finally drive.

"The Sims 5" is also expected to feature an open world, which is lacking in "The Sims 4." Players also hope to see certain elements or objects of the previous "The Sims." It includes the swimming pools and vehicles such as bicycles and cars. However, it is expected that players can finally drive these vehicles in "The Sims 5." Moreover, "The Sims 5" is said to feature VR compatibility. With this, "The Sims" players will experience improved simulation, play their character directly, and fully immerse themselves in the game, Isports Times reports.
