‘Beyond Good and Evil 2’: Developers Seek Feedbacks, Additional Game Elements from Players, Community
This year's presenters at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) 2017 has reached beyond expectations. One of them is Ubisoft which unveiled the cinematic trailer (see video below) of "Beyond Good and Evil 2" to the amazement of everyone in the audience.
"Beyond Good and Evil 2" Showcased Advanced Cinematic
The cinematic trailer of "Beyond Good and Evil 2" created mixed opinions and questions from everyone who saw it. For one, the game's in-game footage is beyond comprehension and expectation - the details, the smoothness and the transition are way too much.
This also has something to do with the game engine used by Ubisoft called LyN. According to ModDB, LyN engine is a video game engine developed by Ubisoft as successor for Jade Engine. Initially used back in 2009, LyN was last used for "ZombiU" back in 2012 prior to "Beyond Good and Evil 2".
Developers Seek Feedbacks from Players before Game Development
During an interview with GameSlice TV, Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot suggested that they are looking to get feedbacks from prospective players and the community to help shape game development. This is the reason why Ubisoft entered "Beyond Good and Evil 2" at E3 2017.
"Michel [Ancel] really wanted to work with all the people that will play the game, to really create something new. He said: okay, it's the right time now to go and speak about the game and ask for feedback on everything we do," said Guillemot referring to the game's creator as posted by PC Gamer.
The two agreed that the goal of releasing the "Beyond Good and Evil 2" trailer is to make some noise, share certain number of elements to the community and get feedbacks from all of the community. In turn, Guillemot believes this will help Ancel get the right ingredient players are looking for in a game.
Meanwhile, the game developers did not reveal any target date on releasing the game. But unlike the first "Beyond Good and Evil" video game which was released back in 2003, "Beyond Good and Evil 2" will have both single and multiplayer modes.
