The new 2017 10.5-inch and 12.9-inch iPad Pro models that were introduced at last week's Worldwide Developers Conference are now available for purchase at Apple retail stores around the world. Here are the details.

New 2017 iPad Pro Models Now Available in Apple Stores

Apple began accepting iPad Pro orders just after the WWDC keynote event. According to Mac Rumors, the first iPad Pro models began shipping out over the weekend with most offering June 13 delivery dates.

The new 10.5-inch iPad Pro replaces the 9.7-inch iPad Pro, offering a bigger display with 40 percent smaller side bezels and a slightly larger and heavier body. The 12.9-inch iPad Pro is the same size as the previous-generation 12.9-inch iPad Pro.

Furthermore, both new iPad Pro models feature new ProMotion display technology, which offers refresh rates of up to 120Hz for fluid scrolling, improved responsiveness, and smoother motion. It also comes along with much more powerful A10X Fusion chips with 30 percent faster CPU performance and 40 percent faster GPU performance compared to the A9X chip.

As for the price, the 10.5-inch iPad Pro, which comes in Silver, Space Gray, Gold, and Rose Gold, starts at $649. As for the pricing for the 12.9-inch model, which comes in Silver, Space Gray, and Gold, starts at $799.

2017 iPad Pro Vs New Surface Pro Design Ports & Hardware

According to PC Mag, in terms of ports, the new Surface Pro leads the 2017 iPad Pro and makes a stronger laptop replacement. It features USB 3.0 port, a mini DisplayPort, a 3.5mm audio jack, a microSDXC card reader, and a connector for power and docking.

There's also a built-in kickstand. The only things missing are USB-C or Thunderbolt 3. Meanwhile, the new iPad Pro has only an Apple proprietary Lightning port and a 3.5mm audio jack.

According to Isports Times, in terms of camera, Apple 2017 iPad Pro features a 12MP rear camera and 7MP front camera. Meanwhile, Microsoft new Surface Pro features 8MP rear camera and 5MP front camera. Hence, Apple iPad Pro beats the new Surface Pro in this feature.

In terms of internal storage, put simply, Microsoft offers more. You can choose between 128,256, 512GB, or 1T of storage on the Surface Pro, while Apple offers either 64, 256, or 512GB on the iPad Pro.
