Samsung Electronics is reportedly going to unveil the Galaxy Note 8 one month before Apple introduces iPhone 8. Then, the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 will make its way at the IFA 2017 in Berlin, Germany which will happen in early September.

Samsung Advances Release Date of Galaxy Note 8

According to Korean website The Bell, Samsung Electronics has moved its plans to unveil its Galaxy Note 8 in mid-August. This is in total contrast to what tech and mobile expects earlier suggested that Samsung will take time before releasing Galaxy Note 8. This is due to the mess brought about by its predecessor, the defective Galaxy Note 7.

Samsung's move to accelerate the launch of the Galaxy Note 8 has something to do with Apple unveiling its tenth year anniversary offering, the iPhone 8. Apple is known to make little adjustments to the physical features of iPhone especially on the designs over the past three years.

However, Apple is expected to unveil a different iPhone design this September. With the imminent faceoff between the flagship products of the two leading mobile device makers, Samsung wants to take advantage of reaching the market first. Based on recent reports, Samsung will unveil Galaxy Note 8 by mid-August and then make it available in the market alongside the IFA 2017 event.

Samsung Galaxy Note 8 Specifications

Dutch website Telefoon Abonnement recently reported about a Samsung Galaxy Note 8 dummy that showcased a 6.3-inch Super AMOLED display. Now there are contrasting news about the processors and battery.

First off, the same report suggested that Samsung will have two versions of Galaxy Note 8 based on the processor used: the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 and Exynos 8895. However, IT Home reported that Galaxy Note 8 could be the first to feature Qualcomm Snapdragon 836, which will become available next month.

Second, the dummy Galaxy Note 8 suggested a massive 4,000mAh battery. However, there were some reports have it will have a slightly lower 3,700mAh battery.
