When the Golden State Warriors recruited Kevin Durant, we all knew they are on their way to reclaim the NBA Championship title. They did - the Warriors defeated the defending NBA champion Cleveland Cavaliers, 4-1. Now, questions as to how the Cavs front office will do to get back at the Warriors next year has already surfaced.

Not Kevin Love, Trade Tristan Thompson Instead

Kevin Love's 6-point Game 5 performance raised brings back trade rumor on the table. Andrew Lynch of FOX Sports suggested trading Love for DeMarcus Cousins, who is said to be a Tristan Thompson complement, alongside LeBron in the front court. But Tristan Thompson is the biggest liability when they face the Warriors even during the regular season?

If Cavs GM David Griffin can somehow manage to pull off a Tristan Thompson-DeMarcus Cousins trade, Boogie can definitely boost the Cavaliers' chances of getting back at the Golden State Warriors. Based on RealGM Trade Checker, Boogie could boost the Cavaliers' stats by +18.9 ppg, +1.8 rpg, and +3.6 apg.

Get Defensive-Minded Free Agents

As posted by James Herbert CBS Sports, Kyle Korver, Deron Williams, Derrick Williams, James Jones and Dahntay Jones are all unrestricted free agents. With no pick this coming NBA Draft, the Cavaliers can turn on the free agency to fill their roster - with defense-minded players.

The Cavaliers' big three of LeBron James, Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love can easily put up 70 points at any given night. Put up the contributions of Channing Frye, Iman Shumpert, JR Smith and Richard Jefferson and Coach Ty Lue will have his 100 points.

Suffice to say, the Cavaliers does not have any problems putting up the numbers. What they lack though are the people who knows how to stop opponents from dropping bombs, scorch the net and pile up numbers.

As suggested by Herbert, the "Cavaliers probably wants its second unit to be better defensively." Look at the NBA Finals pattern, the Warriors always outscored the Cavaliers when LeBron, Kyrie and Kevin are resting.
