What To Expect From Kratos In The "God Of War"
In the PS4 Exclusive "God of War 4," the setting has shifted from the destruction of Kratos' own world to a new setting. Hence, there will also be a change in the character of Kratos. He will not be as violent and vicious like the original "God of War" where he spurned aid and used random strangers as door-jams. In the new "God of War," he will feel the weight of the past in every step, but he is now older, wiser, and breakable, Digital Trends reports.
Moreover, Kratos' relationship with Atreus shows more of a father-son, master-student relationship. He will not take control of his son. In one instance, he may let his son leap off his back, and switch in order to shoot some arrows at the enemies. In this way, Kratos is teaching Atreus with new abilities.
In the new "God of War," Kratos will also be able to befriend allies who can help out. It includes the dwarf Sindri who crafts legendary weapons such as the hammer Mjolnir. According to Kotaku, Cory Barlog released some information hinting that Kratos will finally be interesting in the upcoming PS4 Exclusive "God of War 4." "Who I was and how I view the world is different now," Barlog said. "We had initially embraced the concept that Kratos was an anti-hero. You didn't want to root for him. But how interesting would it be to take a person who had fallen and figure out how they will pick themselves back up?"
