The most awaited and the most powerful gaming console ever created, Microsoft's Xbox One X is reportedly going to bring a solid 4K experience to players on "Gears of War 4" and "Elder Scrolls Online". These are just two of the leading video games which will soon be enjoyed in a 4K environment.

"Gears of War 4" on Xbox One X

In an interview with Microsoft's Major Nelson at E3 2017, The Coalition studio technical director Mike Raynor revealed that they managed to get "Gears of War 4" to run on 4K within one day upon receiving Xbox One X as posted by WCCFTech. This gave them plenty of time to improve on other venues of the game's core visuals, Raynor explained.

"Multiplayer worked right out of the box, but the first thing we did was bump it up to you know 4k resolution, and we found that we had it running with more performance headroom on Xbox One X [than] it does at 1080p on Xbox One S so we're able to use that additional horsepower to add additional graphical features to the game", the technical director said.

Raynor identified these features on "Gears of War 4" such as the dynamic shadowing system, screen space shadows, and reflections. He added that their team was able to use high-resolution texture assets on the Xbox One X.

"Elder Scrolls Online" on Xbox One X

Earlier, Zenimax Online's Creative Director Rich Lambert confirmed that MMORPG Elder Scrolls Online will receive an Xbox One X update in an interview with Finder. But unlike "Gears of War 4", Game Director Matt Firor revealed to WCCFTech that it is most likely that "Elder Scrolls Online" is going to run only at 4K@30FPS.

Firor, however, made it clear that their team is still making additional tweaks so there is no final answer yet whether "Elder Scrolls Online" could still run at 4K@60FPS, or not. Meanwhile, Xbox One X which was previously known as Project Scorpio during its development stage is scheduled for global release on November 7th for only $499.
