New 'Diablo' Update: 'Diablo 3' Rise of the Necromancer Pack To Release Date Confirmed; Price Revealed
"Diablo III", the latest entry in the series developed by Blizzard, is going to receive additional content very soon, the publisher confirmed earlier today. Here are the details.
"Diablo 3" Rise of the Necromancer Pack To Release Date
WCCF Tech reported that in a post on Battle.net, Blizzard confirmed that the "Diablo III" Rise of the Necromancer Pack will release on June 27th on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, adding the Necromancer class as well as other additional content. The pack will be available for purchase for the price of $14.99
According to IGN, the expansion brings with it the return of the Necromancer class, last seen in "Diablo II". The return of Necromancers to Diablo, who "draw upon the power of blood and bone to protect humanity," was first rumored last November when concept art leaked online.
The Rise of the Necromancer includes a Golem in-game pet, Cosmetic Wings of the Crypt Guardian, 2 more character slots, 2 stash tabs for PC gamers, and Necromancer portrait. It also includes banner, sigil, accent, and Blood Master Pennant.
Xbox One and PlayStation 4 can get the "Diablo III" Eternal Collection. This includes the base game, Reaper of Souls expansion and Rise of the Necromancer.
Xbox Gold and PlayStation Plus members can get the Eternal Collection for $40 USD when it launches. The price is a "special introductory price," meaning it's a limited time deal, and non-Gold or Plus members will have to pay $60.
"Diablo" Game Play
According to Blizzard, Diablo is an action role-playing hack and slash video game as the player moves and interacts with the environment primarily by way of a mouse. Other actions, such as casting a spell, are performed in response to keyboard inputs.
The player can acquire items, learn spells, defeat enemies, and interact with non-player characters (NPC)s throughout the game. The dungeon levels are randomly generated, although they follow parameters according to their type.
Furthermore, the players are assigned a random number of quests from several tiers as these quests are optional but help to level up the character and/or reveal more of the backstory. The final two quests, however, are mandatory in order to finish the game.
