AMD has finally launched its high-performance datacenter processors AMD EPYCTM 7000 series. In looking like a grand presentation, AMD was joined by partners which introduced their products based on AMD EPYC 7000-series processors. These partners include Asus, Dell, Gigabyte, HPE, Inventec, Lenovo, Mellanox, Microsoft, Red Hat, Samsung Electronics, Sugon, Supermicro, Tyan, VMware, Wistron, and Xilinx.

"With our EPYC family of processors, AMD is delivering industry-leading performance on critical enterprise, cloud, and machine intelligence workloads," said AMD president and CEO Lisa Su as posted on AMD press release page. "EPYC processors offer uncompromising performance for single-socket systems while scaling dual-socket server performance to new heights, outperforming the competition at every price point. We are proud to bring choice and innovation back to the datacenter with the strong support of our global ecosystem partners."

According to AMD, the AMD EPYC 7000-series processors are highly scalable System on Chip (SoC) design which range from 8-core to 32-core. Each core supports two high-performance threads, therefore offers a max 64-thread. All AMD EPYC 7000-series processors have 8 channels of memory.

What's more, a two-socket server supports up to 32 DIMMS of DDR4 on 16 memory channels. This translates up to 4 terabytes of total memory capacity. As listed by WCCFTech, here are the 9 AMD EPYC 7000-series two-socket server processors:
