iOS Jailbreak Update: Functional Public Jailbreak Coming Out; Jailbreak Tweaks Drives iOS 11 Beta 2
Several security researchers have already demonstrated the iOS 11 jailbreak at the Mobile Securities Conference (MOSEC) 2017 in Shanghai, China. With this, a functional public jailbreak may come out soon while jailbreak tweaks drive iOS Beta 2.
iOS 11 Jailbreak Functional Public Jailbreak Coming Soon
The iOS 11 Jailbreak has been already demonstrated by several researchers at the MOSEC 2017. It includes those from Alibaba and Tencent Keen Labs. It shows some loopholes in the software and the possibility to jailbreak the latest iOS versions. With this, a functional public iOS jailbreak may be released in the near future but there is no guarantee that it will be released as soon as Apple rolls out the iOS 11.
Tencent Keen Labs, Luca Todesco, Team Pangu, and other hackers may target the same vulnerabilities. They may bring a functional public jailbreak soon. Moreover, it was reported last month that Team Pangu is planning to release a new jailbreak tool for iOS 10.3.1 in August just about a month before iOS 11 rollout. It prevents Apple from fixing the loophole in the new update that would prevent the exploit from working, Value Walk reports.
iOS 11 Beta 2 New Features
It has been few days since Apple released the new iOS 11 Beta 2, a version that is a lot faster than the previous one. It offers several new features, refinements, and changes. It includes the ability to adjust opacity for Assistive Touch, disable the recent section and used apps in the Dock on iPad, new flyover features in Apple Maps, Indoor Maps, and share screenshots directly. It also features new Safari settings, Do Not Disturb While Driving Control Center toggle, Control Center Music playback source, and a lot more, 9to5 Mac reports.
Jailbreak Tweaks Drives iOS 11 Beta 2
There is a significant increase in the number of iPhone users who want to use jailbreak and free their devices. This is because jailbroken devices can run features and apps, which can never be available on standard iOS versions. With this, Apple used several jailbreak tweaks in their iOS 11 and borrowed several features from the jailbreak community.
According to 1redDrop, Apple has brought native QR on the iOS 11 Camera app, Files App, iPad Dock, and one-handed keyboard on iOS 1. One of the jailbreak tweaks borrowed includes MultiActions and MultiIconMover. With this, the iOS 11 now allows users to move multiple icons on the Home screen simultaneously. The new iOS also allows users to customize the Control Center through jailbreak tweaks such as Onizuka, FlipControlCenter, and CCHide. Other jailbreak-inspired features include display record (inspired by jailbreak tweaks CCRecord and Display Recorder), Smart Invert dark mode (similar to Noctis and Eclipse), one-handed keyboard (OneHandWizard, OneHanded), Files app (iFile, Filza), ability to scan QR codes using camera (NativeQR), animated GIFs in Photos app (GIFViewer), and cellular data toggle in the Control Center (CCDataMore).
