Miami Heat Rumors: Dwyane Wade Reunion Again Possible Following Chicago Bulls' Ignorance
Dwyane Wade is back in Miami Heat rumors. The possibility that the veteran is returning to Miami is again gathering hype after the recent betrayal by the Chicago Bulls. Wade had one request from Chicago this offseason, but it got rejected through the Jimmy Butler trade.
ESPN reported last week that Wade informed the Bulls of his desire to pick up the player option on his contract. However, before the decision, he had one demand. The three-time NBA champion is believed to have stated that he has no intention of taking part in any rebuilding.
Unfortunately for Wade, Chicago met his request with ignorance. During the 2017 NBA Draft, the Bulls sent Butler to the Minnesota Timberwolves. The move automatically signifies that they will undergo the rebuilding phase.
Now that Butler is gone, Wade wants out of Chicago too according to rumors. He is reportedly looking for a buyout. The 35-year-old aims to be a free agent and have a new beginning with a different team.
The drama currently unfolding in Chicago again made it possible for Wade to head back to Miami. If he becomes available this offseason, there is a huge chance that he will consider the Heat, who wants him back.
Wade's relationship with Miami's front office, specifically Pat Riley, ended terribly. However, Riley already expressed regret and his past statements regarding the issue suggested that he wanted Wade to stay.
In a separate report by ESPN, it seems like Bulls officials are unfazed by the potential departure of Wade. Team executive vice president John Paxson, in a press conference, sounded confident that they are keeping him. If not, they are looking forward to him returning the majority of the salary he is set to earn for the 2017-18 NBA season.
