"Diablo III" fans are in jubilation after game developer Blizzard Entertainment brings back the true "Master of the Dark Arts", the Necromancer. The addition of the Necromancer can be experienced after installing "Diablo III" Patch 2.6.0 which is now available in the Americas for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One platforms.

The Master of the Dark Arts: The Necromancer

As posted by Blizzard Entertainment, "Diablo III" Patch 2.6.0 introduces a new class known as the Necromancer, the "Master of the Dark Arts". Necromancers are very powerful spell casters they wield the powers of life and death which is important in restoring the Balance.

"Necromancers are powerful spell casters who lay waste to their enemies using curses and reanimation-along with an obedient cadre of pets. This new class employs a controlled gameplay style using the raw materials of life: blood and bone," Blizzard posted.

Along with the addition of the powerful Necromancer are over 30 new "Legendary" items and four class-exclusive "Sets" featuring unique themes. To test the new mettle, there are "Set Dungeons" added for each of the new "Sets".

Serve the Balance

According to Kotaku, the new Necromancers bring a new kind of excitement, thrill and "blast" into "Diablo III" with Necromancers' gameplay to "serve the balance". Unlike the Witch Doctor which is a new character in "Diablo III" and has a skill traditionally associated with shamanism and voodoo culture, the Necromancer have tons of effective, ranged combos which makes this character a perfect combo for melee heroes.

Other Patch Highlights

In addition to Necromancer, other highlights of "Diablo III" Patch 2.6.0 includes a new feature called "Challenge Rifts" where players can explore new builds created by fellow players. There are also two new Zones called "The Moors" and "The Temple of the Firstborn" which can be explored in Adventure Mode through a new waypoint on the Act 2 map.

Speaking of waypoint, there are four new Waypoints known as Realms of Fate which appeared in Adventure Mode. Each waypoint has bounties to complete. According to legend, these four Realms of Fate are the unintended consequences of the battle between The Nephalem or more commonly known as "the first humans", and Diablo in the High Heavens.
